Rotomite-6000 Optional Features

SRS Crisafulli offers customers the flexibility of choosing one or more of Five Options, each of which offers a price reduction without compromising the fundamental (core) productivity of the Rotomite-6000 dredge – i.e., cubic yards of solids dredged per hour. The options enhance ease of use, versatility, convenience, operator comfort, and potentially the productivity of the dredge (above the core productivity). The Options and their impact on the dredge cost, expressed as a percentage of a full featured Rotomite-6000 are shown below.

              • Rotomite-6000                    Features                    Reduction in Price
              • Base price - no options      Cable only                           23.38%
              • Propulsion                            Westmar Thruster             17.27%
              • Cutterhead                           Black Mamba                       3.07%
              • Cab #1                                  No air or heat                      3.04%
              • Cab #2                                  With air & heat                    1.22%

Contractors, Municipal and Industrial Facilities Managers remove settled solids fast and easily with the powerful and versatile Rotomite-6000.

More power. 275 HP provides the power and productivity for all of the systems on the Rotomite-6000. The John Deere engine enables simultaneous operation of all dredge functions.

Improved controls. Crisafulli engineers designed fingertip operator controls to reduce operator fatigue and improve operator alertness and productivity.

The operator can articulate (rotate 84 degrees) the cutterhead to keep the cutting teeth at right angles to the face of the dredged material.

The hydraulically powered ladder, applies almost the full 18,000 pound weight of the Rotomite-6000 to attack compacted, settled wastes.

Great visibility. Note the Operator's clear view of dredging operations from the forward positioned cab with large windows on all four sides shown above on the Rotomite-6000. The new cab (withoptional air and heat) is accessible from either side of the dredge for improved convenience, productivity, and safety.

Black Mamba Cutterhead. On the right, observe the unique opposing augers of the Black Mamba cutterhead are designed to drive dredged material towards the center of the cutterhead and directly in front of the pump intake for maximum capture of solids, highest efficiency and reduced turbidity. Fully articulating, the cutterhead can be rotated 84 degrees on the Rotomite-6000 and 70 degrees on the Rotomite-6000 to attack compacted, settled wastes.

Safety guard rails. Note the guard rails on each side of the dredge and flanking the ladder.

portable rotomite

Portability - On Land - Afloat. With a width of 8.5 feet and a height of 9.58 feet (without the Pivoting Traverse System) Contractors and Facilities Managers can move the Rotomite-6000 at high speeds on highways on a lowboy and meet all DOT regulations regarding vehicle weight, width and height. This feature is important for any customer who must dredge multiple sites at different locations.

The actual discharge distance in a particular application depends on several variables including: the nature of the slurry – i. e., the specific gravity, weight, and concentration of solids in the slurry, the model and power of the dredge, the size of the discharge pipe, the topography of the land over which the slurry is pumped – i. e., vertical elevation change from the dredge to the discharge site, whether or not a booster pump is installed in the discharge line, and, perhaps most importantly, the experience and skill of the dredge operator.

Dredge Rentals. Many domestic and Canadian customers rent Crisafulli’s Rotomite and FLUMP dredges on short-term leases, and, after becoming familiar with the productive capabilities of the dredges, buy them.

Dredge Installation and Training Services. Crisafulli provides installation and training services for customers across America and around the World.

Unmatched Versatility

Crisafulli's unique steerable variable speed hydraulically powered propulsion system provides approximately 1,000 pounds of thrust enabling the Rotomite-6000 and its Crisafulli 6" discharge J-Series pump to dredge and process up to 150 cubic yards of sludge and slurries per hour at depths up to 20 feet (standard; deeper in custom models) in a wide range of applications without the cost and delays of a cabled traverse system.

The world's most productive 6" dredge

When used with Crisafulli's Cabled Traverse System, the Rotomite-6000 is approximately 48% more productive than competitive products. It can complete lagoon dredging projects in approximately half the time and save owners close to the entire cost of the Rotomite over several years from reduced operating costs.

Black Mamba Cutterhead's hydraulic pumps driving the auger are mounted inside the ends of the Cutteread Shroud to reduce resistance from abrasive materials during dredging operations.
